Snap-8 (Acetyl Glutamyl Heptapeptide-3 — SNARE complex inhibitor) is a 8-amino acid SNAP-25 N-terminal analog. Octapeptide analog of SNAP-25 (synaptosomal-associated protein-25) N-terminal domain, competitively inhibiting SNARE complex formation required for acetylcholine vesicle docking and release at the neuromuscular junction.
