Description
What is DSIP??
DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide, CAS 62568-57-4) is a naturally occurring nonapeptide (Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu) first isolated from rabbit cerebral venous blood during slow-wave sleep. Molecular formula C₃₅H₄₈N₁₀O₁₅, MW 848.82 g/mol. DSIP modulates delta-wave (slow-wave) sleep patterns, suppresses somatostatin, and influences the HPA axis — reducing ACTH, corticotrophin, and stress-related LH, FSH and GH secretion in preclinical models. Research also examines its antioxidant, anti-nociceptive, and anti-stress properties.
