What is Eloralintide?
Eloralintide (MEDI0382) is a dual GLP-1R and GCGR (glucagon receptor) co-agonist developed by AstraZeneca/MedImmune. Unlike tirzepatide (GIP+GLP-1), eloralintide pairs GLP-1R with GCGR — the glucagon receptor agonism component drives thermogenesis, fatty acid oxidation, and hepatic glucose modulation. Phase 2 clinical data demonstrated significant weight loss and metabolic improvements in T2DM patients. Research tool for GLP-1R/GCGR dual pharmacology and comparison with triple (GIP+GLP-1+GCG) agonists like retatrutide. Research use only.
